Dystini is a native of
Sheboygan, WI. She’s dabbled in many art forms throughout life and
has finally found a home with polymer clay. She’s participated in
several exhibitions at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, most
recently in the juried show “Eight Counties.”
“I create
because I must.” she says. “It’s my passion, my sanity. I can’t
imagine not being creative.” Dystini draws her inspiration from many
sources including tattoo flash, Cirque du Soleil, computer animation
short films and her garden.
Polymer clay is a “plastic” clay
with a low firing temp. It comes in many colors that can be mixed to
create new colors and is very versatile. It’s very durable and long
lasting. It can be cleaned with a soft damp cloth but should not be
soaked in water as this will ruin the finish. Dystini uses only
artist grade polymer clay and other materials.
